Dr. Martin Boorin has provided anesthesia services for children in the NY metropolitan region for over 30 years and founded Anesthesia for Dental Health in 2005. Dr. Boorin is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine and completed his two-year dental anesthesiology residency training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He provides anesthesia services to a diverse population of children and special needs adults in private offices as well as at Stony Brook University Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Boorin has expertise in managing patients who are medically compromised or have physical and intellectual disabilities.
Dr. Boorin is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Anesthesiology Division at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and maintains a primary role in the clinical and didactic educational responsibilities associated with the SUNY @ Stony Brook dental anesthesiology resident training program. Dr. Boorin is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, served as a board member of ADBA, and is an active member in the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists. He has lectured locally, regionally and nationally on topics related to anesthesia, emergency management, and oral facial pain.
