Education & Professional Expertise

Dr. Rima Parikh earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors from New York University College of Dentistry, where she developed the foundational knowledge that supports her expertise today. After dental school, she completed a one-year general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she discovered her passion for treating children and families with compassionate, individualized care.

To further specialize in treating young patients, Dr. Parikh continued her postgraduate training as a post-doctoral resident in Pediatric Dentistry, during which she served as Chief Resident , a leadership position that strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to children’s oral health.

Dr. Parikh is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and holds professional affiliations with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. She also maintains a New York State Conscious Sedation Certificate, is CPR certified, and fully complies with Infection Control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care for her patients.

Through her pediatric residency, Dr. Parikh developed expertise in managing dental anxiety, building trust with families, and delivering gentle, evidence-based treatment. She is committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in pediatric dental care to provide the highest standard of treatment.
